FOOTBALL SUPPORTERS FEDERATION MEETING

The North Wales & North West Division of the Football Supporters’ Federation will be hosting an Open Meeting with Mr Gordon Taylor the Chief Executive of Professional Footballers’ Association. This Open Meeting is open to all members of the FSF and not just those within the NWNW division; at the same time any non members of the FSF are also welcome to attend the meeting.

The Open Meeting is taking place on Thursday 9th September 2010, starting around 7pm. The meeting is being held at Eastland’s, City of Manchester Stadium, home of Manchester City FC. The venue of course has plenty of car parking on hand close by.

Please come along and hear Mr Taylor speak and have your chance to question a leading figure in the football community. What are the views of the PFA on leading issues concerning players in today’s game? Are players being over exploited with too many games in a season? Or are they just over paid prima donnas’? Just what do players do to putting something back into the community, where that community supporters then at great costs? What responsibilities do players have on the pitch to help clean up the game? Is racism and homophobia being won inside the dressing room, as well on the terraces? To hear the answers and more you have to be there on the night at Eastland’s CoMS.

BRANCH MEETING TONIGHT....

It's our first Branch Meeting of the season tonight (Tuesday 17th August) 8.00pm start at Reddish Working Mens Club.....doors open at 7.30pm.

Admission is FREE to all Reddish Blues Members, which includes a FREE raffle and everyone is welcome.

We've a lot of new Members already this season so don't be shy, come along and meet your Branch President (Alex Williams), Branch Officers, Committee and other Reddish Blues Members.

If you know someone who wants to join bring them a long too as Membership Forms will be available

SIERRA LEONE UPDATE

The Cornelia Maersk docked in Port Tangier at 15:00 on Friday 13th August where our precious cargo will be off loaded onto the Claes Maersk.

The Claes will then sail at 02:00 on Tuesday 17th August to Freetown via Algeciras and Conakry.

BRANCH MEETING:
As you already know Ian Cheeseman and BBC Radio Manchester are now unable to do the live broadcast of Blue Tuesday from Reddish WMC on Tuesday 17th August and a new date is being organised for September.

Our normal Branch meeting will still take place next Tuesday but now at the later time of 8.00pm (doors 7.30pm) and our guests will be Branch President Alex Williams and Paul Lake.

We'll also be giving a full update on Sierra Leone and will be revealing for the first time anywhere the photos of the mini coach which is currently on it's way to Freetown.

We've also an appeal for old spectacles so, if you have any spare or old pairs of glasses that are no longer in use would you please bring them with you to the Meeting on Tuesday and we will ensure they are given to people who need them but cannot obtain them in Sierra Leone.

Hi All

Just your Webmaster here. I have decided to create a Blog to go along with the Reddishblues Facebook site so you as members can add coments and participate to news, comments and pictures posted at www.reddishblues.com. Please feel free to Email either myself or Howard with any questions.

Just to get us started, we all visited the Pre Season Friendly against Valencia at the weekend from the Lakes. Its a bit since we have seen you all so here is a quick Pic to remind anyone who's remotely interested what we look like now (With a few extra pounds).
